Introducing Fr Jim Zettel
Introducing Father Jim Zettel
Fr Jim Zettel is a priest of the Archdiocese of Toronto. He was born in Hanover, Ontario. Throughout his years of formation, he has worked and studied in New York, New Jersey, Vancouver and did his four years of theology in the Holy Land. He was ordained in 2013 in New Rochelle, NY. After his ordination, he worked as coordinator of youth ministry effectiveness at St Benedict's Church in Etobicoke and associate pastor of Blessed Trinity Chuch in North York and St Francis Xavier Church in Mississauga. Fr Jim has a keen interest in Church history, especially as it relates to Saints throughout history. He has come to a solid conviction that each Baptized person is called to reach heights of holiness - to be saints. "Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect." In a particular way, Fr Jim is convinced that young people are called to be saints --- based on the life and teaching of his favourite saint, John Bosco. Moving forward, he believes that regular Confession, frequent visits to the Blessed Sacrament, devotion to Mary and a sincere desire for holiness will make Our Lady of Grace Church a fertile harvest of saints and vocations to the priesthood religious life and strong families in Simcoe County.
